According to the Daily News, “Project Runway’s” next season will be aired on Lifetime. The owner of the show, Weinstein & Co., sold the show to Lifetime, the channel that is infamous for its terribly cheesy made-for-TV movies, without the approval of NBC Universal, which owns the show’s current network, Bravo.
I don’t know what these Weinstein brothers are thinking, but the only people I know who watch Lifetime are over the age of 50. According to the shows host, Heidi Klum, “Fashion is about change, so we’re looking forward to saying hello to Lifetime, our new fashionable home for our fashionable series.” I wonder how much Lifetime paid her to say that? Bravo is the ideal network for “Project Runway”, not Lifetime! This just baffles me, and I really hope that the shows quality isn’t affected by its new home. Hopefully it won’t be auf Wiedersehen for ratings. NBC Universal needs to fight to get the show back on Bravo or this could be a big disaster.

Angelina Jolie recently had some scandalous pictures revealed in InTouch magazine from when she was a mere 16 years old! I am surprised these have taken so long to surface, but now that they have I don’t really know what to say? I can’t really say I’m surprised, but I do feel somewhat bad for her now that she has children and her image has drastically improved. I wonder how much the photographer, Sean McCall, received for these photos? I bet her reps are having a field day with all of this mess. I just hope that her kids don’t have to find out about this. Brad Pitt and Jolie already have enough to protect them from.

Oh my! “Grey’s Anatomy” star, Justin Chambers, has gone off the deep end. The make believe doctor was recently seen acting a fool at a Los Angeles restaurant. Witnesses tell Star magazine that Chambers “drifted in and out of consciousness, rambled incoherently, annoyed patrons, and even hit on a waitress.” This doesn’t sound like the kind of things a “biological sleep disorder” or a married man of five children. Early this year Chambers made a visit to the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center psych ward for a sleeping disorder, but it sounds like it could be a little more serious than that. Chambers’ family and representatives need to get him help quick before his problem hurts his family and his career.

Shia LaBeouf is a breakout star in quite a few big screen movies, including Transformers and Disturbia, but began his career as a wholesome Disney Channel character in the popular Even Stevens. His next movie to be released onto the silver screen is the ever so anticipated Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, co-staring Harrison Ford. LaBeouf has always been classified as a goofy kid who doesn’t really cause any harm, until November 4, 2007.
It all started around 2 a.m. early that Sunday morning at a Walgreens store in Chicago. LaBeouf refused to leave the store after several requests by the stores security. According to www.msnbc.com, one of the security guards called the police after LaBeouf would not leave the store. LaBeouf was then charged with a misdemeanor for trespassing. Authorities have reported that LaBeouf was “very courteous and polite.” Many celebrity gossipers, such as, Perez Hilton have accused LaBeouf of being drunk at the time of the arrest.
After viewing many news sites about the arrest, all of the articles seemed quite favorable towards LaBeouf. All of the pictures posted of the actor in relation to the arrest are very dignified and mature photos. Almost all of the headlines accompanying the articles simply read things like what can be seen on www.people.com , “Transformers Star Shia LaBeouf Arrested.” All of the articles are quite short and to the point. I feel as though the media could have been much more harsh towards LaBeouf’s arrest in contrast to other celebrities his age who have gotten into trouble with the law. The only people who are quoted in the articles are the Chicago police, and they only have positive things to say about LaBeouf.
The mainstream media articles were much more brief and unbiased towards the arrest, whereas, many of the blogs focused their attention on the fact that this is just another story of a “good boy” gone bad… at least for the night. Blogs such as www.defamer.com accounted the arrest very lightheartedly, almost as a joke. LaBeouf, before the arrest, has always done an excellent job expressing his views on young Hollywood’s partying antics, which I think resulted in the medias laxness towards his arrest.
I think LaBeouf acted very well in response to his arrest. He immediately admitted he had made a mistake and apologized. Another important thing to recognize is that he laid low after the incident and was very careful not to get into anymore trouble, which is something most young celebrities have a hard time doing. This proved to the media and LaBeouf’s fans that he is serious about his career, and simply made a one-time mistake.
All in all, I feel as though the situation was handled in the best way possible. LaBeouf’s actions before and after the night of the arrest should be a model for how all young celebrities and their agents should handle this kind of crisis.

Apparently, Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks are teaming up to start a new reality show for ABC. The show will be revolving around beautiful people living in a house together. So, we’ll pretty much be seeing America’s Next Top Model and Beauty and the Geek merged together, minus modeling challenges and geeks. I don’t know about you all, but I don’t really think watching a Real World I am Beautiful sounds too appealing. We all know Banks can’t get enough attention, so this is clearly another way for her to get into the spotlight. Poor girl needs to learn she will never be Oprah. Kutcher on the other hand, seems much brighter than to associate himself with Banks. I would love to ask him why he decided to team up with Banks. Its not like he needs any help in the comedy and entertainment department. My only guess can be that Banks threatened him in some way. I wonder how the duets reps will be able to bribe the media into giving the show good publicity…

According to Perez Hilton, Justin Timberlake has recently been cast in a movie about baseball. I’m sure he will look fantastic in baseball pants, but I am a little nervous about Timberlake making another appearance on the silver screen. Don’t get me wrong seeing his beautiful face projected on a large screen is not a problem for me, but if anyone saw Alpha Dog you understand what I mean. As soon as I read that he was going to be part of the cast I immediately went to the Internet Movie Database to check out the filming location in hopes that the stars recent visit to Austin, Texas meant that the film would be shot here. Sadly, though, my crossed fingers and toes did not pull through. The film will be shot in Louisiana.
Lets hope this movie isn’t a strike out!

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for…
the shows must go on! Writers announced today that they would be returning to their offices tomorrow, Wednesday February 13th. Not only did the writers strike gold in the agreement, the corporations are not losing too terribly. “At the end of the day, everybody won,” Leslie Moonves, chief executive officer of CBS Corp., told The Associated Press. “At the end of the day, everybody won,” Leslie Moonves, chief executive officer of CBS Corp., told The Associated Press. It is an equal playing field now, and hopefully the writers will get the respect they deserve when they return to their offices tomorrow, and audiences will get the entertainment they have been longing for. If only the reality TV shows would go on strike then all would be well in the entertainment world. Hopefully, the Los Angeles economy can earn back that $3.2 billion…
